Supported devices
iPhone and iPad with iOS / iPadOS 18 or later.
Nearby devices do not appear
- Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- The first time, the system asks whether the app may find devices on your local network. Choose Allow. If you chose Don’t Allow, the app shows that local network access is off; turn on Local Network in Settings › Scena Slate.
- The other device needs its prompter or slate open before it appears in the list.
- The first connection asks both devices to show the same 4-digit number, then Allow.
The slate sound
The slate sound lines up picture and sound. Bluetooth headphones and speakers add a delay that keeps changing, so the sound no longer matches the picture. When AirPods or another Bluetooth device is connected, the slate asks you to switch back to the device speaker.
Where your data lives
Scripts, recordings and shoot records stay on your devices and are never uploaded to our servers. Scripts can be deleted from the script library; recordings and shoot records are currently removed by deleting the app. See the privacy policy for details.
